Wet Deposition - The deposition of dissolved substances such as airborne particles and gaseous molecules by precipitation. Airborne particles/gaseous molecules in the atmosphere are trapped in water droplets due to falling precipitation (i.e. rain and snow). These substances are then dissolve in the water droplets and are deposited on the surface in which the water droplets come into contact with.
