A research into the global network opportunities with the idea to optimize joint work of the scientific community in solution of complex problems has suggested creation of adequate toolkits allowing applied programmers to build distributed information-computational systems based on subject-domain data, task sets, and knowledge.

In prospect, this will yield, along with verbal representation facilities, the possibility to perform calculations within the tasks supported by the ICS. The advantages that open up with the use of the ICS software algorithms greatly expand the limits of scientific work. The project aims at construction of the software that will help to solve the above problem. This will be the middleware designed to support an Internet accessible ICS. We report a theoretical study of the middleware and a software implementation of the ICS core, maintenance tools, and infrastructure.
