A Semantic Web Expert System for Spectral Data Quality Control in Molecular Spectroscopy via Intrenet

The proposed project focuses on building a Semantic Web Expert System for Spectroscopy @ccessible via Inertnet (SWESS@) intended to performe an expert examination of spectrak datasets (tansitions and states). Information resources of the system are represented in terms of Semantic Web languages. Part of the resources is an ontological knowledge data comprising a complete set of data retrived from all publications pertaining to six key spectroscopic tasks. Logical inferences are made by means of a FaCT++ enfirence engine. Use will be made of SWESS@ to generate datasets for more than 100 isotopologuesand a number of weakly bound complexes. The choice of molecules is due to the solutions to tasks of describing oxygenic planets and exoplanets and processes involved in giant planets and cold star.

The system under consideration will enable molecular spectral lines to be identified automaticaly.
